Michael R. Gee, President of Arete Leadership Consulting is a visionary, highly motivational leader with a 30-year track record in business. He is an outstanding executive management leader who provides  sound judgment, new perspectives, innovative ideas and principle-centered leadership to any organization. Michael is an MBA graduate of Columbia University with a BA from Boston College.

In his impressive career, Michael has served in executive leadership roles in several significant joint ventures and has been a leader in forming Global Strategic Alliances for the past 20 years.  Michael started the Global Strategic Alliance program at NCR and Motorola’s Symbol Technologies line of business. Cisco Systems, Fujitsu , Microsoft, Oracle, Intel,  SAP, IBM, Zebra Technologies, Sprint/Nextel, and AT&T are some of major partners Michael has worked with.   He functions as a change catalyst helping firms migrate from a  primarily direct-selling model to sales being driven through alternate sales channels.

Prior joint venture experience includes the Silicon Valley cable modem start-up @Home Network with TCI Cable, Comcast Cable and Cox Communications.  Michael was the Vice President of Sales Operations responsible for coordinating partner go-to-market activities for launching this new service throughout the U.S. In 1997, as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at GTE Media Ventures,  GTE was part of a telecom industry venture targeting the cable industry and included the Walt Disney Company, Ameritech,  BellSouth and U.S. West, all marketing under the Americast Brand. Finally, in the early 1990s, as an executive from U.S. West, Gee was appointed the prestigious role of Vice President of Marketing for PCS Primeco. This was a Bell Operating Company consortium of U.S. West, Airtouch, Nynex and Bell Atlantic, now Verizon Wireless in 11 U. S. markets. New products targeting growth markets has always been a cornerstone of his career.

Michael Gee is a creative, people-oriented leader known for his high integrity, open trustworthiness, achievement-oriented management style. He is mature, optimistic, and a team player with proven results in getting cross functional teams and multiple companies to work well together. He is strong at conflict resolution and calm under pressure maintaining a positive sense of humor.
